About Himiway
Himiway launched in 2017 as a fat-tire electric bike specialist, founded by Mike Magaruh after he toured Asian e-bike factories to study what made the category’s best bikes work. The brand sells direct to consumers, and built its reputation on one thing: range.
Long batteries are the signature. Himiway packs large-capacity packs into most models and advertises 60 to 80 miles per charge, well past what comparably priced commuter e-bikes deliver. The bikes run hub or mid-drive motors with throttle and pedal assist, and the 4-inch fat tires that define the lineup soak up sand, snow, and broken pavement.
Headquartered in California with manufacturing in China, Himiway now sells more than a dozen models, recently renamed to an alphanumeric system: the D-series all-terrain fat bikes (formerly Cruiser, Zebra, and Cobra), the A-series city commuters, the C-series moto-style and cargo bikes, and the B-series folder. Most land between $1,000 and $4,000.
Most popular Himiway models
Himiway’s range centers on fat-tire all-terrain bikes and branches into commuters, cargo, and full-suspension trail models. The D5 2.0 and D5 Pro are the all-terrain workhorses on 26x4-inch tires, while the D3 Cruiser is the long-range original. The A7 and A7 Pro cover city commuting on slimmer tires, and the A3 is the affordable step-through entry point at $999.
For rougher terrain, the D7 Cobra and D7 Pro add full suspension and bigger motors for trail and hunting use, the C5 takes a moto-style seat-and-frame layout, and the C3 hauls gear as a cargo bike. Every Himiway is throttle-equipped with pedal assist, mostly in Class 2 and Class 3 trims, and the long-range batteries push replacement values past what a homeowner’s policy usually covers, which is where stand-alone electric bike insurance from Velosurance fills the gap.

The Gen-2 all-terrain fat bike (formerly the Zebra), with a 750W motor, big battery, and 26x4-inch tires for long-range all-surface riding.

The premium all-terrain fat bike with a larger battery and higher payload for extended range and bigger loads.

The long-range original (formerly the Cruiser), a comfortable fat-tire cruiser built for distance.

A full-suspension city commuter on slimmer tires, tuned for smooth paved miles.

The flagship commuter with a belt drive and upgraded components for low-maintenance city riding.

The affordable step-through urban commuter, the easiest entry into the Himiway lineup.

The full-suspension fat e-bike (formerly the Cobra), built for trail and off-road use.

The top full-suspension mountain e-bike with a mid-drive motor and the most travel in the range.

A moto-style electric bike with a banana seat and stout frame for around-town cruising.

The cargo e-bike, built to haul groceries, gear, and a passenger on an extended frame.
