About Heybike
Heybike started with one commuter. Co-founders Jason and William met in 2017, and in 2018 they built the Cityscape electric cruiser to make getting to work easier. The company grew from a garage into a direct-to-consumer brand that sells through heybike.com, Amazon, Best Buy, and bike dealers.
Value is the pitch. Most Heybike models sell for $899 to $1,699, and the range leans hard on fat tires and folding frames: 20 x 4-inch tires on the Mars and Ranger folders, 26 x 4-inch tires on the Alpha. In August 2026 the San Antonio Spurs named Heybike the team’s official e-bike partner, the brand’s first NBA deal.
Power comes mostly from 750W rear hub motors with 1,000W to 1,500W of peak output. The Alpha is the exception, with a 500W Mivice mid-drive rated at 105 Nm. Several models change class in the Heybike app: the Venus and Hybrid switch between Class 2 and Class 3, and the Titan leaves the factory at 20 mph with a setting up to 28 mph where permitted.

Folding fat-tire bikes are the core of the range. The Ranger 3.0 Pro is the flagship and best seller, a step-thru folder with Horst-link full suspension, a torque sensor, and a 720Wh battery. The Mars 3.0 brings full suspension and 95 Nm to a step-over folding frame, the Mars 2.5 is the lower-cost folder with front suspension, and the Ranger S 2.0 pairs a step-thru folding frame with an 80 Nm hub motor. The Alpha moves up to 26 x 4-inch tires and a 105 Nm mid-drive, and the moto-styled Titan adds full suspension and an optional second battery for up to 80 miles.
The commuters round out the lineup. The Cityscape 2.0 is the entry point at $899, with a removable 468Wh battery and a lockable suspension fork. The Venus is the lightweight city and cruiser bike, and the Hybrid carries Heybike’s biggest commuter battery at 864Wh. A $900 to $1,700 e-bike locked on a city rack is a prime theft target, and that daily exposure is what commuter bike insurance is built for.

Heybike's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
Heybike warrants each e-bike bought on heybike.com for two years, excluding wear and tear items. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Two years from the day the bike arrives
Each Heybike e-bike is covered for 2 years, excluding wear and tear items, starting the day you receive the bike. Genuine Heybike parts and components carry the same two-year limited warranty.
It follows the bike to a second owner
A subsequent owner gets the same 2-year warranty by providing proof of the original purchase: the original owner's name and order number. The clock still starts on the day the original owner received the bike.
Wear items, labor, and freight are yours
Tires, brake pads, chains, spokes, sprockets, grips, and cables are wear and tear items the warranty does not cover, and labor charges for part replacement are excluded. Heybike may charge a shipping fee to send replacement parts or a replacement bike, and the customer bears the freight on warranty spare parts.
Get approval before a shop touches it
Heybike reimburses third-party repair costs only when you get its approval before the work starts. Repairs made without its knowledge or consent are not reimbursed, and improper assembly, skipped maintenance, or incompatible parts void the warranty.
Defects only: crashes and theft are excluded
The warranty does not cover damage from a crash or accident, or from external causes it lists, including collision and theft. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
