About Norco

Norco started in a chicken coop. Bert Lewis founded Northern Cycle Industries in Burnaby, British Columbia, in 1964, importing bikes and parts from Europe and Asia before building his own. In the 1970s and 1980s the company brought the first BMX bikes to Canada, with the Spitfire and Starfire, and built Canada’s first production mountain bikes.

The North Shore made the brand. Ryan Leech and the Norco Factory Freeride Team filled the Kranked videos of the 1990s, the VPS suspension bikes of the early 2000s defined freeride, and the Aurum downhill bike introduced Gravity Tune, which scaled the rear end to each frame size a decade before rivals copied it. Greg Minnaar and Danny Hart now race downhill for the Norco Factory Team.

Norco still designs in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, and the Lewis family took full ownership of parent company Live to Play Sports on July 1, 2024, the brand’s 60th year. Every Norco from model year 2014 on carries a limited lifetime frame warranty, added in February 2024, and the Ride Aligned app sets up each bike to its rider.

Norco bike lineup 12 models shown

Most popular Norco models

Mountain bikes are the core. The Sight is the all-mountain bike, in its fifth generation with a high-pivot Horst link, an idler, mixed wheels, and 150mm of travel, and the Optic is its 125mm trail sibling. The Fluid FS is the aluminum entry point, the Revolver is the 120mm carbon cross-country racer, and the Range is the 170mm enduro bike. The Torrent hardtail, the 180mm Shore park bike, and the Team DH downhill race bike cover the rest of the mountain. A high-pivot carbon frame ridden on North Shore rock is what dedicated mountain bike insurance is written for.

Norco’s VLT e-bikes mirror the analog range. The Sight VLT is the all-mountain e-bike, the Range VLT is the 170mm e-enduro bike, and the Fluid VLT is the carbon e-trail bike, all on Bosch drive systems. Off the dirt, the Search C is the carbon gravel bike, from Shimano GRX and SRAM Apex XPLR to RED XPLR builds. Norco lists its US prices on norco.com, and the ranges below are its current US web prices for complete bikes in the latest model year listed.

Norco factory warranty

Norco's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops

Norco warrants its frames and rigid forks against manufacturer defects for the usable life of the product. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.

  • Lifetime on frames and rigid forks, back to 2014

Norco will repair or replace any frame or rigid fork it deems defective in manufacturing, materials, or workmanship, for the usable life of the product, for every model year 2014 and newer with original proof of purchase. Norco stresses that a frame is not indestructible and has a useful life cycle.

  • Two years on suspension hardware and VLT parts

Full-suspension hardware such as pivot shafts, bolts, link arm sleeves, and spacers carries a limited 2-year warranty. Proprietary VLT e-bike components, including batteries and wiring harnesses, are covered for 2 years from the purchase date; VLT bikes with non-Norco batteries fall under that battery maker's policy.

  • One year on paint and Norco-branded parts

Paint, finish, and graphics are covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects, and Norco-branded components for 1 year. Damage to paint or finish caused by an aftermarket frame wrap is excluded outright.

  • Labor, upgrades, and other brands' parts are yours

Non-Norco parts are covered by their own manufacturers, and Norco is not liable for incompatible components or labor when a frame is upgraded to a newer version under warranty. Parts bought before the 2024 policy are not credited retroactively.

  • Defects only: accidents and abuse are excluded

Failure of any frame or component due to accident, abuse, neglect, improper use, or fit is not covered, and Norco's obligation ends at repairing or replacing the frame. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.

Summary of the Norco No Other Way Limited Lifetime Warranty, reviewed September 30, 2026. Applies to Norco bicycle models year 2014 and newer, with original proof of purchase, under the policy introduced February 13, 2024. Claims start with the authorized Norco dealer that sold the bike. The manufacturer decides every warranty claim, and its full published terms govern.
