About Bulls
Bulls is the in-house bike brand of ZEG, the Zweirad-Einkaufs-Genossenschaft, a German purchasing cooperative founded in 1966 in Cologne that today links more than 1,000 independent bike shops across Europe. ZEG launched the Bulls brand in 1995 to sell sporty, well-equipped bikes across a wide price range. The brand remains headquartered in Cologne.
Bulls built its reputation in competition. Team Bulls, formed in 2007, raced cross-country and marathon mountain biking at the top level, with riders like Karl Platt winning the Absa Cape Epic, and that program fed durability and geometry lessons back into the production bikes. The brand moved into e-bikes in 2010, leaning on mid-drive systems from Bosch and Brose.
Today Bulls spans e-MTB, e-trekking, e-commuter, gravel, and road, most of it built around Bosch Performance Line CX motors and PowerTube 750Wh batteries. The US lineup, sold through Bulls Bikes USA, centers on the Copperhead e-mountain bikes alongside the Iconic trekking, Cross Lite commuter, and Grinder gravel platforms.
