About Liv
Liv launched on April 22, 2008, founded by Bonnie Tu, the Giant Group executive who went looking for a proper women’s race bike and kit before the Tour of Taiwan and couldn’t find either. Her answer became the world’s only cycling brand built exclusively for women, headquartered in Taiwan alongside Giant, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer.
In 2014 Giant made Liv a standalone parallel brand rather than a women’s sub-line. The distinction matters: Liv designs frames from its own database of women’s body dimensions and muscle-strength data, with women-led design and engineering teams, instead of shrinking men’s geometry and repainting it. Giant’s manufacturing scale backs every frame.
The lineup spans the full sport: the Langma race bike campaigned in the Tour de France Femmes by the Liv AlUla Jayco team, the Avail endurance road and Devote gravel platforms, the Pique XC racer, the Intrigue trail bike, and E+ e-bikes that put the same women-specific fit on electric platforms.
Most popular Liv models
On pavement, the Langma is the race flagship, from the $3,300 Langma Advanced 2 to the $12,750 Langma Advanced SL 0, with the Avail and alloy Avail AR covering endurance riding and the Devote running gravel from alloy trims to the Devote Advanced 0. Off-road, the Pique Advanced SL is the XC race bike, the Intrigue and long-travel Intrigue LT handle trail and enduro, and the Embolden and Tempt make full-suspension and hardtail riding accessible.
The E+ line carries the electric side: the Intrigue X E+ full-suspension e-MTB and the Embolden E+ trail e-bike, plus the Rove and Thrive for fitness and everyday riding. A Langma that races crits and a Devote that lives on washboard forest roads share the same exposure to crashes, theft, and travel damage, which is what stand-alone road bike insurance from Velosurance is priced to cover.

The race flagship, campaigned in the Tour de France Femmes, from the Langma Advanced 2 to the Langma Advanced SL 0 with SRAM Red AXS.

The endurance road platform, from the alloy Avail AR to the carbon Avail Advanced, built for long days and rougher pavement.

The gravel bike, spanning alloy trims to the Devote Advanced 0, with geometry built from Liv's women's fit data rather than a unisex mold.

The carbon XC race bike. The Pique Advanced SL and downcountry Pique X carry Liv's World Cup cross-country program.

The trail and all-mountain platform, topping out in the long-travel Intrigue LT Advanced Pro for enduro terrain.

The accessible full-suspension trail bike that gets first-time riders onto real singletrack without a four-figure-plus build.

The electric version of the Embolden trail bike, pairing the approachable full-suspension platform with a mid-drive motor.

The full-suspension e-MTB flagship, putting motor assist behind the Intrigue's trail geometry.

The entry hardtail that starts more women on dirt than any other Liv, from the Tempt 4 to the Tempt 1.

The adventure hybrid for mixed pavement and path riding, sold in standard and stagger-frame versions.

The flat-bar fitness road bike for fast workouts and commutes on road-bike wheels and gearing.
