About Biktrix
Biktrix started in 2014 in a garage in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where founder Roshan Thomas built his first e-bikes from conversion kits. His first production bike, the Juggernaut, launched on Kickstarter that year: an electric fat bike on a high-step frame, and one of the only 750W mid-drive e-bikes on the market at the time.
The company still runs from Saskatoon, now with more than 50 employees and showrooms in Saskatoon, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, and Edmonton. It sells direct, assembles in Canada, and ships free to US riders on orders over $1,000. The Juggernaut is in its ninth generation and the Stunner cruiser in its seventh.
Biktrix builds for torque. The catalogue runs from a 250W city commuter to 1,000W Bafang Ultra and 2,300W Juggernaut XD machines, and most models can be set up as a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike when you order. Choose carefully: the class is set at purchase, and on the Monte Capro Lite the choice cannot be changed later.

The Juggernaut is the fat-tire family that built the brand. The Juggernaut Hub Duo 2 pairs a 750W geared rear hub motor with a 52V 17.5Ah (910Wh) battery, a thumb throttle, and a choice of 26x4 fat or 27.5x2.8 wheels. The Juggernaut Lite trims it to a 48V 13Ah battery and a 6-speed Shimano drivetrain for $2,299. The Stunner line is the cruiser side: the Stunner Auto runs a 750W Bafang BBS02 mid-drive through a Lofandi 3-speed automatic hub, and the Stunner LT 8 drops to 20- or 24-inch wheels with a 750W hub motor and a 330 lb load capacity.
The Swift family is the commuter range. The Swift CVT 2 uses a 500W Bafang M430 mid-drive, a belt drive, and an Enviolo continuously variable hub, and Biktrix rates it for Class 3 speeds. The Swift CVT Lite brings the Enviolo hub down to $1,899 with a 250W motor, and the Swift Lite 3 is the entry point at $1,499. The Monte Capro Lite is the carbon full-suspension mountain e-bike, with a 500W Bafang M600 and 120Nm of torque. Ordered in a Class 1, 2, or 3 configuration, any of these eight qualifies for electric bike insurance. The rest of the catalogue does not. The 1,000W Juggernaut Ultra and 2,300W Juggernaut XD are rated above the 750W motor limit in most state e-bike laws, Biktrix sells the RogueHawk for aggressive off-road and high-speed use, and the BTX Moto is an electric dirt bike. Velosurance covers Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes with a maximum assisted speed of 28 mph, so none of the four is on this list.

Biktrix's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
Biktrix backs its e-bikes with a two-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Two years on the motor, battery, and frame
The motor, battery, electronic components, frame, forks and shocks, suspension parts, and paint and decals carry a two-year limited warranty. Brake pads, tires and tubes, the rear rack, fenders, kickstand, and seat get 14 days.
Skip scheduled maintenance and the warranty is void
Failing to follow the standard scheduled maintenance for the e-bike voids the warranty. Batteries stored without following Biktrix's battery care instructions are excluded.
Unauthorized changes void the whole bike
Modifications, including changed gear ratios or motor settings altered without Biktrix's authorization, exclude the complete e-bike from the warranty.
Shipping and shop labor are on you
The warranty does not cover shipping on replacement or serviced parts, shipping a bike to a service centre, or bike shop fees to remove, install, or replace a part.
Defects only: misuse, abuse, and overloading are excluded
The warranty covers only manufacturing defects as determined by Biktrix, and it excludes frame breakage caused by misuse, abuse, or overloading. Theft and crash damage are not manufacturing defects. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
