About YT Industries
YT stands for Young Talent. Markus Flossmann started the company in Forchheim, Germany, in 2008 to sell dirt jump bikes straight to riders who could not afford shop prices, and the direct-to-consumer model has not changed since. The gravity bikes made the name: Andreu Lacondeguy won Red Bull Rampage in 2014 on a Tues, and Aaron Gwin took the 2016 and 2017 downhill World Cup overall titles on one.
The last two years were rougher. YT filed for insolvency in July 2025 after a private equity investor cancelled its financing, and it ceased US operations on November 1, 2025. Flossmann bought the brand back, and the new company, Young Talent Industries GmbH, began operations in Hausen, Germany, on November 15, 2025.
US sales resumed on September 21, 2026. Bikes ship from a US seller based in Waco, Texas, for a $125 delivery fee, backed by a new customer care team. The lineup is mountain bikes only: the Izzo, Jeffsy, and Capra, the Tues downhill and freeride bikes, the Dirtlove, and two Decoy e-MTBs.

YT names its builds Core 1 through Core 4, and three trail platforms share the ladder. The Izzo is the 130 mm trail bike from $2,899, the Jeffsy the 145 mm all-mountain 29er from $2,999, and the Capra the 170 mm enduro bike from $2,999, with 29 inch or mixed wheels. Aluminum frames open each range and carbon tops it, up to $6,599 for a Capra Core 4 with a Fox 38 Factory fork. The Dirtlove dirt jumper starts at $1,149.
Gravity is the heritage. The carbon Tues is the 200 mm downhill race bike from $4,299, and the aluminum Tues 27 is the $3,499 freeride and bike park version. The e-MTBs are the Decoy X, an aluminum bike on the Avinox M2S drive unit with a fixed 800 Wh battery from $4,999, and the carbon Decoy with a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor and a PowerTube 800 battery from $6,999. These bikes are built to be crashed and get hauled to bike parks on racks and in travel cases, and mountain bike insurance covers crash damage, theft, and loss or damage in transit.

The 29er trail bike, with a 140 mm fork and 130 mm of rear travel. The Core 1 weighs 14.9 kg, and the Core 4 runs Shimano XT Di2.
The carbon downhill race bike, with 200 mm of travel front and rear, 29 inch or MX wheels, and forks from a RockShox BoXXer to a Fox 40 Factory.
The aluminum freeride and bike park version of the Tues: 27.5 inch wheels, 200 mm of travel, a Marzocchi Bomber 58 fork, and a coil shock.
The 26 inch dirt jump hardtail with a 100 mm fork, single-speed drivetrain, and aluminum or steel frame. The Core 1 weighs 11.6 kg.
The aluminum e-MTB built around the Avinox M2S drive unit and a fixed 800 Wh battery, with MX wheels, a 170 mm fork, and 160 mm of rear travel.
The carbon e-MTB with a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor, a Bosch PowerTube 800 battery, a Kiox 400C controller, MX wheels, and long-travel suspension.
The YT Industries Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
YT's US terms give the frame a five-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship, provided by Young Talent Industries GmbH in Germany and administered by the US seller. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Five years on the frame, from the delivery date
YT frames are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for five years from delivery. Paintwork, anodizing, and wear parts such as bearings, suspension seals, and drivetrain parts are left out.
Two years on YT parts, one year on YT batteries
Component parts made by YT are covered for two years from delivery, and YT-made batteries for one. Forks, shocks, brakes, wheels, and other third-party parts are not warranted by YT and fall under their own makers' warranties.
Initial purchaser only, with the original receipt
The warranty applies only to the initial purchaser and requires a copy of the original sales receipt. A YT bought used, or no longer in the original buyer's hands, is not covered, and unauthorized component conversions void it.
Repair or reconditioned parts, shipping is yours
YT remedies a defect by repair or by supplying new or reconditioned YT parts, at its own discretion. The warranty does not cover shipping, transport, or assembly costs, and liability is capped at the original purchase price.
Defects only: falls, jumps, and a deformed frame are excluded
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by excessive stresses of all kinds, in particular falls and jumps. A deformed frame is treated as proof of excessive stress, so crash damage falls outside it. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
