About Juliana
Juliana built the first mountain bike aimed specifically at women. Santa Cruz Bicycles released it in 1999 and named it after Juli Furtado, the 1990 cross-country world champion, 1992 downhill world champion, and three-time World Cup cross-country champion. In 2013 the single model grew into a complete line of women’s mountain bikes and a stand-alone brand.
Juliana shares its engineering with Santa Cruz, headquartered in Santa Cruz, California, and owned by the Dutch group Pon Holdings since 2015. Every Juliana runs Santa Cruz’s VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) suspension, with shocks tuned for lighter riders than the equivalent Santa Cruz models.
The current range is all carbon and all full suspension: cross-country, trail, and enduro. Juliana backs every frame with a lifetime warranty for the original owner and replaces pivot bearings free for as long as that owner keeps the bike.

Four full-suspension platforms cover the span of trail riding. The Wilder is the cross-country bike, with 29-inch wheels and two travel options: 100mm front and rear in XC trim, or 120mm front and 115mm rear in the TR builds. The Joplin is the 29er trail bike, with 120mm of VPP travel, a 130mm fork, and in-frame storage for long days.
The Furtado and Roubion run mixed wheels, a 29-inch front and a 27.5-inch rear. The Furtado is the playful 130mm trail bike with a Glovebox storage compartment in the downtube, and the Roubion is the enduro bike, with 150mm of rear travel, a 160mm fork, and a flip chip for geometry. A carbon full-suspension frame takes rock strikes, crashes, and roof-rack miles, and that exposure is what dedicated mountain bike insurance is written for.

Juliana's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
Juliana warrants its frames and rigid forks against defects in materials or workmanship for life. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Lifetime on frames and rigid forks
Juliana Bicycles will repair or replace, at its option, any frame or rigid fork it makes that it determines to be defective in materials or workmanship. The warranty lasts for the lifetime of the frame or fork and is available only to the original owner.
Three years on paint, finishes, and decals
For paint, other finishes, and decals, the warranty period is three years from the original date of purchase. Fading and other conditions caused by excessive ultraviolet light or outdoor exposure are not covered.
Free pivot bearings for as long as you own the bike
Juliana offers free replacement pivot bearings to the original owner for as long as they own the bike. The request takes the Warranty Form and a copy of the purchase receipt, and Juliana responds within two business days.
Labor, wear, and modified parts are excluded
The warranty does not cover labor costs, custom finishes, normal wear and tear, or damage from commercial use. It is void if a part is modified from its original condition or used outside normal intended use, as Juliana determines.
Crash damage: limited to replacement at a reduced charge
For damage arising from accidents, crashes, and other impacts, the warranty is limited to replacement parts offered to the original owner at a reduced charge. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
