About Juiced Bikes
Tora Harris founded Juiced Bikes in 2009 in San Diego, California, drawing on his background as a mechanical and aerospace engineer to build e-bikes with higher power specs than anything widely available at the time. The first models were long-range cargo bikes designed to replace car trips for urban riders. When cargo did not scale commercially, Harris pivoted toward city commuter bikes and kept the engineering emphasis: high-output motors, large battery packs, and direct-to-consumer pricing that undercut the traditional bike shop channel.
The power formula Juiced landed on was a 750W hub motor paired with high-capacity battery systems, with most flagship models exceeding 50 miles of real-world range on a single charge. That output sits at the top end of what legally qualifies as a Class 2 e-bike, giving riders motorcycle-like acceleration and hill-climbing ability without the registration, licensing, or lane restrictions that apply to mopeds and scooters.
Through the late 2010s and into the 2020s, Juiced expanded beyond utilitarian commuters into performance designs with motorcycle-inspired aesthetics. The HyperScorpion and Scrambler platforms drew on moped styling to attract riders who wanted something that looked as capable as it rode. The brand remains headquartered in San Diego and sells exclusively through its own direct-to-consumer website.
Most popular Juiced Bikes models
Every Juiced Bikes model runs a 750W hub motor as the base spec. The lineup splits between motorcycle-styled commuter platforms and fat-tire adventure bikes, all designed for riders who want sustained power, long range, and full throttle availability without pedaling.
The Scrambler is the core commuter: moped styling, upright position, full fenders, integrated lighting, and enough motor output to keep pace with traffic from a dead stop. The HyperScorpion goes further with a low-slung sport frame, forward-leaning riding position, and higher-spec components. The HyperScrambler 2 doubles the range by running two batteries, making it one of the highest-range Class 2 e-bikes available. Any of these qualifies for electric bike insurance from Velosurance, covering your Juiced Bike at full replacement value against theft, crashes, and transit damage.
The RipCurrent S takes the platform off-road: 4-inch fat tires, a front suspension fork, and hardtail geometry that handles light trail riding and unpaved surfaces as comfortably as city streets. The RipCurrent S Step-Thru swaps in a step-through frame for riders who prefer easy mounting. The RipRacer rounds out the lineup as a more traditional-looking e-bike, lighter and more upright than the moto-styled models and suited to riders who want Juiced power without the moped aesthetic.

The first post-revival model from Juiced under Lectric-affiliated ownership — a moto-style hardtail e-bike with KKE inverted front suspension borrowed from Sur-Ron, fat tires, banana seat, and a 3-year warranty. Launched May 2026.

The full-suspension version of the Scrambler — same KKE inverted fork up front, adds a rear shock for trail and rougher off-road use. Moto silhouette, banana seat, fat tires, 3-year warranty.

A successor to a very successful RipCurrent, the S model ships a huge 998 Wh battery, front and rear fenders and a rear rack. Powered by a rear hub 750W Bafang motor, this bike rolls on trails, sand and snow like nothing else.

A low-step version of the popular RipCurrent S, makes this excellent bike accessible to beginners and riders with limited mobility. A BMX style adjustable handlebar makes this bike adjustable for riders from 5’3” to 6’2”.

HyperScorion sports a gigantic 1kWh battery and a powerful motor which produce a range of up to 70 miles. You also get a headlight, mirrors, turn signals, sticky tires, front and rear suspension, disc brakes, and a rear trunk. The overall package is an excellent city bike with potential to replace a car for most errands.

HyperScorpion’s big brother, this bike can carry two (!) 1kWh batteries, extending the range to a whopping 100 miles. The power is provided by an internally geared rear hub Bafang Retorblade motor, producing 1,000W nominal power.
