About Factor
Factor builds bikes the way Formula 1 builds cars. The brand started in 2007 in Norfolk, England as an offshoot of bf1systems, a company that made advanced carbon components for F1 teams. That engineering background still defines Factor: the company owns its own manufacturing facilities in Taichung, Taiwan and China, which lets it run tighter tolerances and offer deep customization.
Factor races at the top. It sponsored the Israel-Premier Tech WorldTour team through 2025, and former time-trial specialist David Millar joined as brand director in 2025. The brand’s Black Inc subsidiary builds the carbon wheels and components that finish many of its bikes.
Factor’s lineup is built around performance racing. The Ostro VAM and O2 VAM are the aero road platforms, the Monza brings the shape to a more accessible price, and the Slick is the time-trial bike. Off pavement, the Ostro Gravel, LS, and Aluto cover gravel racing, and the Lando XC and Lando HT are Factor’s cross-country mountain bikes.
Most popular Factor models
Factor’s road range is all race. The Ostro VAM is the aero all-rounder ridden by Factor’s sponsored pros, the O2 VAM is the aero climbing bike built to be light and fast at once, and the Monza refines the same formula to reach more racers. Every frame comes from Factor’s own carbon facilities.
On dirt, the Ostro Gravel is the gravel race bike, the LS is the lightweight 950-gram gravel racer, and the Aluto is the aluminum option. The Lando XC and Lando HT are Factor’s cross-country mountain bikes, and the Slick is the time-trial machine. The Slick’s aero integration and the replacement values across Factor’s carbon range are exactly what a standalone triathlon bike insurance policy is built to protect.
