About Aventon
Aventon launched in the early 2010s as a fixed-gear and single-speed bicycle brand, selling track-style bikes direct to consumers at prices that undercut traditional bike shops by a wide margin. The pitch was simple: performance geometry, no frills, and no retail markup. It built a following among urban commuters and fitness riders fast.
The company pivoted to e-bikes in 2017, and the timing was precise. The Pace 500 arrived at a Class 2 price point well below most comparable commuter e-bikes, with a hub motor, integrated battery, and throttle-plus-pedal-assist that appealed to riders who had never owned an e-bike before. It became one of the best-selling e-bikes in the US within two years of launch.
Headquartered in Ontario, California, Aventon now sells a full lineup spanning commuter, folding, fat tire, and gravel e-bike categories.
