About Aventon
Aventon launched in the early 2010s as a fixed-gear and single-speed bicycle brand, selling track-style bikes direct to consumers at prices that undercut traditional bike shops by a wide margin. The pitch was simple: performance geometry, no frills, and no retail markup. It built a following among urban commuters and fitness riders fast.
The company pivoted to e-bikes in 2017, and the timing was precise. The Pace 500 arrived at a Class 2 price point well below most comparable commuter e-bikes, with a hub motor, integrated battery, and throttle-plus-pedal-assist that appealed to riders who had never owned an e-bike before. It became one of the best-selling e-bikes in the US within two years of launch.
Headquartered in Ontario, California, Aventon now sells a full lineup spanning commuter, folding, fat tire, and gravel e-bike categories. Every model ships with throttle support and pedal-assist modes, most in Class 2 or Class 3 configurations. Aventon's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
Aventon backs every new e-bike against defects in materials and workmanship. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Two years on the expensive parts
The frame, motor, battery, controller, display, wheels, and factory-installed racks, fenders, and lights are warranted for two years from the original purchase date. Other Aventon-branded components get one year.
Register within 90 days for a lifetime frame warranty
Registering the bike with Aventon within 90 days of purchase extends the frame's structural warranty from two years to lifetime. The lifetime term belongs to the original buyer and does not transfer.
Battery: two years or 300 charge cycles
Battery coverage ends at whichever comes first. The original battery is designed to retain up to 75% of its capacity over that period.
Warranty shipping is free, labor is not
Aventon repairs or replaces defective parts and does not charge shipping on warranty claims. Removing the old part and installing the new one is at the owner's expense, and every claim needs dated proof of the original purchase.
Defects only: theft and crash damage are excluded
The warranty states it does not cover loss or theft under any circumstances, and it excludes damage from a crash or accident. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
