About Lectric Ebikes
Levi Conlow and Robby Deziel co-founded Lectric eBikes in 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona, after Conlow went shopping for an e-bike and found the market priced him out. Their first model, the Lectric LX, did not connect with buyers. Rather than double down, they gathered direct customer feedback, rebuilt the product, and launched the Lectric XP in 2020.
The XP launched at under $999, making it one of the most aggressively priced folding Class 2 e-bikes in the US at the time. The specs were genuinely competitive: a 500W rear hub motor, throttle plus five levels of pedal assist, fat tires, and a foldable frame suited to apartments and transit commutes. Consumer reviews were immediate and strong. Lectric sold over 100,000 units in the first two years and became one of the best-selling e-bike brands in America by unit volume.
Lectric remains headquartered in Phoenix and operates entirely direct-to-consumer without retail distribution. Lectric's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
Lectric warrants the covered parts of each e-bike against defects in workmanship and materials. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
One year on covered parts
Covered parts are warranted for one year from the original delivery date to the first owner. The list includes the frame, forks, motor, controller, display, brake calipers, derailleur, and wiring harness.
Battery: one year, same as the bike
The battery is a covered part for the same one-year period, including an extended-life battery if purchased. Damage from overcharging, or from chargers other than those approved by Lectric, is excluded.
Later owners are covered too
The warranty runs to each owner, current and previous. Claims must be made by the then-current owner within the warranty period, and a later owner may be asked for evidence of ownership or purchase.
Lectric pays shipping, not labor
Lectric repairs or replaces defective parts at no expense to you and ships approved repairs and replacements at its cost. Labor to disassemble the defective part or install its replacement is excluded. Wear parts such as the chain, tires, brake pads, and grips are not covered.
Defects only: theft and accident damage are excluded
The exclusions name injuries and damage resulting from theft or accidents. The warranty adds that insurance coverage for theft or accidents is solely a matter between you and your insurance company. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
