About 3T
3T started in Turin in 1961 as Tecnologia del Tubo Torinese and spent five decades making handlebars, stems, and seatposts. It moved into complete bikes in 2016 with the Exploro, an aero gravel bike, and followed with the Strada aero road bike. The Exploro lives on as the Primo, which 3T now calls the original 3T all-round bike.
In 2018 the company brought carbon frame production back to Italy, at its factory in Presezzo, near Bergamo. 3T winds dry carbon filament on machines it designed and built itself, then injects the resin by Resin Transfer Moulding. By its own figures the process takes 50% less manual labor per raw frame and cuts raw material costs by 78%. Every Italia and Italia X frame is made, painted, and assembled there.
The range splits by terrain: Strada for pavement, Racemax for fast gravel, and Extrema and Ultra for the rough end of gravel, plus electric versions built on the same carbon frames with a Mahle X20 hub motor. In the US, 3T sells through dealers and its own store based in Newport Beach, California, with complete bikes starting at $4,639.

On pavement, the Strada Italia is the made-in-Italy aero road bike, shaped around 30 to 35 mm tires and priced from $9,254 to $12,956 with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and a power meter. The Strada, hand-painted in Italy, is the original comfort-aero design from $5,499. The electric bikes hide a Mahle X20 rear hub motor and the battery inside the same frame shapes: the Racemax Boost Italia (236 Wh, from $9,899), the Ultra Boost and eUltra (350 Wh, from $6,099 and $5,878), and the eExtrema Italia ($10,999 to $13,999).
Gravel is the center of the brand. The Racemax 2 Italia is the aero race bike, now with clearance for 51 mm tires, downtube storage, and a rear light in the seatpost, from $7,512 to $14,698. The Racemax starts at $4,899, the Extrema Italia fits 700x57c tires for the roughest races, the Ultra 2 Italia is the suspension-ready option from $5,770, and the Primo is the all-rounder from $4,639. These bikes get raced hard and flown to events, and gravel bike insurance covers crash damage, theft, and loss or damage in transit by car, airline, or courier.

3T's Warranty: What It Covers and Where It Stops
3T warrants its products against defects in materials or workmanship for the original owner, and the term depends on whether you register. Five terms decide what that is worth to you.
Two years on 3T products, one on paint
The standard warranty runs two years against defects in materials or workmanship. Paint, decals, and coating get one year. Components from other manufacturers are covered by their own maker's warranty, not 3T's.
Register within 30 days to reach five years
Products with a warranty card and hologram can be extended to five years if you register them on the 3T website within 30 days of purchase. The registration must include a legal invoice with the seller, buyer, and item details, or it is void.
Original owner, legitimate dealer, 110 kg limit
The warranty is not transferable and excludes products not bought through a legitimate 3T dealer. Claims go through the dealer that sold the bike, with the original invoice showing the serial number. 3T sets a total weight limit of 110 kg (264 lb) for bike, rider, and cargo.
Repair or replacement only, labor excluded
3T repairs or replaces a defective product at its sole discretion, and that is the only remedy. Labor costs for disassembly and reassembly are excluded, and a replacement carries only the remainder of the original warranty.
Defects only: accidents, impacts, and shipping damage are excluded
3T runs a crash replacement program for original owners who registered within 30 days, with terms that vary case by case. The warranty itself excludes damage caused by accidents, impacts, and shipping. Those are the losses a Velosurance policy is built for.
