About Magnum

Jesse Lapin and Yoni Kayman founded Magnum Bikes in 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company built its first generation of e-bikes around hub-motor commuter platforms aimed at urban riders and short-range errands, and grew from a single Utah storefront into a national e-bike brand.

Magnum operates retail flagships in Salt Lake City, Park City, and St. George, plus stores in Arizona and Florida. In 2024 the brand partnered with Costco to distribute models across 300 US warehouse locations, bringing its e-bikes to a much broader audience than its independent-bike-dealer roots.

The current lineup is e-bike-only and built around step-thru and step-over urban platforms in the $1,700 to $2,100 range. The flagship Peak 2.0 is a UL 2849-certified trail e-bike with a 140 mm suspension fork and frame-integrated color display, and the Cosmo, Melody, Bliss, Edge, and Wave platforms cover commuter and comfort cruisers across both standard and low-step frames. The folding Premium 3 Torque LS rounds out the catalog.

Most popular Magnum models

Magnum is an e-bike-only brand, with every model running on a hub-drive or mid-drive system tuned for short-range urban commuting. Most of the lineup sits in the $1,700 to $2,100 range with integrated batteries, 48V power systems, and step-thru or step-over frames in the same family.

The Peak 2.0 is Magnum’s most capable model — a UL 2849-certified electric trail bike with a 140 mm suspension fork, torque-to-cadence switching, and a frame-integrated color display. The Cosmo 2.0 and Cosmo 2.0 T are the entry urban platforms, the Melody and Bliss are comfort step-thrus, the Edge is the commuter flagship with rack and lights, and the Wave brings a low-step cruiser geometry to the same Cosmo battery platform. The folding Premium 3 Torque LS is the only non-conventional frame format. For Magnum’s full-suspension trail e-bike in particular, stand-alone mountain bike insurance from Velosurance covers crash, theft, and shuttle-transit damage that a homeowner’s policy will not.
