Am I covered outside my state?
Last updated
Yes. You are automatically covered in all 50 states and Canada, with no extra step to take when you cross a state line. The bicycle carries the same protection in Florida that it has in Oregon.
As part of your Physical Damage coverage, your bicycle is also covered while you are traveling to and from any location in the United States and Canada, so the protection follows the bike on the drive to a race or the trip to a trailhead.
Every optional coverage on your policy works the same way. Whichever add-ons you carry, they all apply anywhere in the USA and Canada, just as they do in your home state.
When your riding takes you beyond the USA and Canada, you can extend your Bicycle Physical Damage coverage across the globe by adding our optional Worldwide Physical Damage Coverage Extension through our client portal.
Am I covered while traveling by land or air?
Travel by land or air to and from any location in the United States and Canada is included in your Physical Damage coverage. Whether the bike is on a roof rack, in a trunk, or checked as luggage on a flight, it stays protected in transit, not only once you arrive.
Can I get coverage outside the USA and Canada?
If you would like to extend your bike coverage worldwide, add the optional Worldwide Physical Damage Coverage Extension, which is worth considering before a destination ride or bike-packing trip abroad. For travel that stays within North America, the standard policy already covers riding in Canada.
