How do I add international coverage?

Last updated

Adding worldwide coverage takes about a minute, and you can do it yourself from your account:

  1. Log in to your Client portal.
  2. Open the "My bikes" section and select that bike you want the coverage added to.
  3. Add worldwide coverage to each bike that needs it, then click Update to finalize.

Worldwide coverage extends your bike's physical damage and theft protection while you travel abroad. It does not follow you across the border for medical payments, liability, or vehicle contact protection, which stay limited to the United States and Canada. Plan separate coverage for medical/liability before an international trip.

One thing to keep in mind: theft is covered internationally, but you still need a local police report to file a theft claim. Report the theft to the police wherever it happens and keep a copy of the report.

The Worldwide Coverage premium is 10% of annual premium prorated from date you add the coverage via Client portal.

Can I add worldwide coverage just for a trip?

Yes. Worldwide coverage is built to flex around your travel. Add it through the Client portal a few days before you leave, then remove it the same way once you are back in the USA, so you only pay for the stretch you actually ride abroad.

How long can my bike remain outside of the country?

Your bike can stay abroad for as many days as your trip needs within a single policy year. The one requirement: it has to spend at least one day in the USA during that same policy year.
