Do you provide coverage in Canada?

Last updated

Yes. Your Velosurance policy covers the insured bicycle anywhere in the USA and Canada, and coverage stays in effect while the bike is in transit and in use across both countries. Ride it across the border, pack it for a trip to Banff or Vancouver, and the same protection travels with it.

The policy is available to USA residents. It is the residency of the policyholder, not the location of the ride, that determines eligibility, so a USA resident keeps full coverage on a Canadian cycling trip.

Am I covered while riding across the USA and Canada?

Coverage follows the bike throughout the USA and Canada, both in transit and in use. Whether the bicycle is strapped to a roof rack on the way north or out on a ride in Ontario, the policy stays in force the entire trip, the same way it does at home.

Can Canadian residents buy a Velosurance policy?

The policy is written for USA residents. Cyclists who live in Canada can get comparable protection through the Ontario Cycling Association and Pedal Power Insurance, both of which offer bicycle coverage for Canadian riders.
